Piru Creek Small Stream Outing

Come and join your fellow SPFF members for small stream fly fishing at Piru Creek - Sunday April 6th
The flow of the lower creek is driven by water releases from the dam on Pyramid Reservoir. This tailwater offers one of the few reliable year-round cold water trout fisheries in Southern California. A three mile section just upstream of Frenchman's Flat is managed as a catch and release Wild Trout Stream by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The creek is barbless hooks only.
This stream can be fished with a 2 wt - 4 wt rod. The Stream Leaders will provide more details to the registrants prior to the outing. Everyone will meet at the parking area at Frenchman's Flat day use area.
Don't forget you Adventure Pass & fishing license.
