HOT CREEK RANCH JUNE 5-8, 2026
Come and join SPFF on the Blue Ribbon designated trout stream. Hot Creek will test your angling skills for Brown and Rainbow trout. These fish thrive on an abundance of Mayflies, Caddis, Midges and Stoneflies. Join us, and embark on a journey where the pursuit of trout unfolds against the breathtaking backdrop of Sierra Nevada mountains. This is a Blue Ribbon trout stream with Dry-Fly only fly fishing. This is a catch and release fishery, with only artificial barbless flies. No wading on Ranch property and California fishing license required.
Sierra Pacific Fly Fishers has reserved all cabins of Hot Creek Ranch (HCR) for the second weekend in June (5-8). The weekend rate is $1140.00 (including taxes & fees) per cabin for two (2) anglers sharing a cabin. A third angler would pay an additional $166.75 (including tax) per night which is paid directly to HCR when leaving. Since the club has pre-paid the reservations, we need all required payments by the due dates. Only registered SPFF members and their guests staying on the ranch can fish the private waters.
Check in Friday after 4:00 p.m., go fishing, and then stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights -- you can leave earlier if you have to, but the full rental period is your responsibility. You can fish Monday; you'll just have to remove your belongings out of your cabin by 10:00 A.M. Please leave a tip for the cleaning service crew.
Cabins will be appointed by a lottery system during the January dinner meeting. The Outings Chairperson will send an email to the winners explaining the Registration process. You must pay a deposit of $570.00 per cabin at the time of registration by credit card or ACH. Note that the deposit is due with registration and the remaining balance paid no later than April 2, 2026.
SPFF active members have first option on these cabins until March 25, 2026; then the registration will open to the fly fishing community. If you are going as a pair or an additional 3rd angler, elect a "banker" to pay the $570.00 deposit per cabin to reserve your spot. You'll need to pay the remainder of the balance by April 2, 2026. Again, a single payment for the balance is required. If you have a 3rd angler, settle up with Kevin at the Ranch. If you reserve a cabin and need to cancel, all fees paid will be refunded and the balance owed forgiven, IF AND ONLY IF THE CABIN IS LATER RENTED.
Not Included: CA fishing License, Guide services, transportation, and meals; each angler makes their own arrangements.
