Kennedy Lake 4 day Wilderness Base Camp. Come spend 4 days of fishing, hiking, swimming, photography, relaxing, and enjoying great food at one of the most beautiful lakes in the Sierra Nevada, Kennedy Lake.
How it works:
Arrive at Kennedy Meadows at 6am to have your included breakfast in the restaurant. Horseback ride or hike 7 miles along Kennedy Creek to the outlet of Kennedy Lake. If you hike, a pack animal will take your gear to the camp. Horseback riding takes about 3 hours to reach the camp.
Price: $750.00 per person (non-refundable unless another member takes your spot) which includes breakfast at the restaurant on the 1st day, horse, pack mule, cook, food, tent (can stand in very large), 1 night lodging in a group shared cabin at resort the night prior to trip, showers & lunch at the restaurant after trip, and all camping gear (except sleeping bag/pad).
Initial deposit to hold a spot is $100 (non-refundable) and the remainder of the balance is due March 5, 2026. You must agree to the SPFF liability waiver as well as the Kennedy Meadows Resort liability waiver. You can not reserve a spot for another member. Each person to register on their own unless part of a family. There will be no modifications if your group member cancels.
Breakfast and dinner prepared by a cook, pack your lunch at the camp. Bring all of your fishing gear and float tube. The Lake is loaded with German Brown Trout, and the creeks have brown trout and occasional rainbows. You can keep the fish and they will cook it at camp. You are free to explore the creeks and lake, it's fishing and exploring on your own. Lodging will be available the night before the trip.

Tip for the trip $80-$100 or as much as you want.
Dates:
The group will be scheduled for Thursday-Sunday June 25-28, 2026. This will be a mixed group camp. There is no minimum requirement for each group size, however there is a maximum camp size of 12 people and we must have a minimum of 4 people scheduled for the camp. Enjoy 3 nights and 4 days in the wilderness and return on the afternoon of the fourth day.
Kennedy Meadows Resort & Pack station is located approximately 60 miles East of Sonora, nestled high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
