Horseback ride-in fishing outing Thursday-Sunday June 26-29, 2025
Kennedy Lake 4-day Wilderness Base Camp. Come spend 4 days of fishing, hiking, swimming, photography, relaxing, and enjoying great food at one of the most beautiful lakes in the Sierra Nevada, Kennedy Lake.
How it works:
Arrive at Kennedy Meadows Resort at 7am to have your included breakfast in the restaurant. Horseback ride or hike 7 miles along Kennedy Creek to the outlet of Kennedy Lake. If you hike, a pack animal will take your gear to the camp. Horseback riding takes less than 3 hours to reach the camp.
Price:
$635.00 per person which includes horse, cook, food, tents, and all camping gear (except sleeping bag/pad). Initial deposit to hold a spot is $100 due at registration and the remainder of the balance $535 is due March 5, 2025.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by a cook. Bring all of your fishing gear. The Lake is loaded with German Brown Trout, and the creeks have brown trout and occasional rainbows. You can keep the fish and they will cook it at camp. You are free to explore the creeks and lake, it's fishing and exploring on your own. Lodging will be available the night before and after the trip based on openings at Kennedy Meadows Resort (based on vacancy).
Dates:
The group will be scheduled for Thursday-Sunday June 26-29, 2025. This will be a mixed group camp. There is no minimum requirement for each group size, however there is a maximum camp size of 12 people and we must have a minimum of 4 people scheduled for the camp. Enjoy 3 nights and 4 days in the wilderness and return on the afternoon of the fourth day.
